Privacy Policy

The Hive is built privacy-first. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

• The Hive runs entirely on your device and makes no network requests at all.
• We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data.
• There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs in the app.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

What The Hive stores

The Hive models your financial runway — balances, bills, and projected cash flow — so it can forecast risk and surface upcoming shortfalls. Everything you enter stays on your device. If you set up a local profile, its session token is held in the iOS Keychain (encrypted by the operating system) and is never transmitted anywhere.

The Hive does not require an account, a bank connection, or any credentials to run.

This version runs entirely on your device

The current version of The Hive operates fully offline. It makes no network requests to our servers or to anyone else, and no personal or financial data ever leaves your device. Specifically:

• No third-party AI service. The in-app assistant runs entirely on-device. The questions you ask it and the financial figures it reasons over are processed locally and are never sent to OpenAI or any other third-party AI service, nor to any server.
• No cloud, no sync, no account server. Your data is not uploaded, synced, or backed up to any cloud service, and there is no remote account database.
• No bank or account linking. The app does not connect to your bank or any financial-data aggregator, and never sees or stores bank login credentials.
• No real money movement. Bill-payment features are simulated on-device only — no funds move and no payment processor is contacted.
• No analytics or tracking. There are no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs in the app, and no advertising identifiers are used.

Because nothing is transmitted, your financial information cannot be shared with, sold to, or accessed by any third party.

Data we never collect

• We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, or device motion.
• We do not use advertising identifiers.
• We do not build advertising or marketing profiles.

Your control

Because your data lives only on your device, you can remove all of it at any time by deleting the app. If you set up a local profile, you can permanently delete it and all of its associated data from within the app at any time: Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This is immediate and irreversible — no email or support request is required.

Children

The Hive is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised policy at this URL.
